Brazil is known for many things such as the beaches and the flip-flops. Brazil is also home to some of the biggest athletes and supermodels to have ever walked the planet, but before them came “The Brazilian Bombshell” who put the country in the map during the 40s and the 50s. She is Carmen Miranda and she is an icon best known for her fruit hat in the 1943 movie The Gang’s All Here. This editorial from Vogue Brasil is titled “Carmen Miranda Reloaded” and it is inspired by the legendary entertainer with Mirte Maas in spring’s tropical looks while drawing on Carmen’s saucy fashion sense. The Dutch beauty and her two costars are styled by Vogue Japan’s Editor-at-Large Anna Dello Russo in pieces from Dolce & Gabbana, Marni, Alexandre Herchcovitch and many others.
