The party goers include Jamaican Pop Princess Barbee, Producer Justus Arison of JA productions, and Dancehall Queen Keiva along with many others. The bashment is in celebration of West Indian culture coming together, Nicki’s Trinidadian roots meet Mavado’s Jamaican rude bwoy style for a song to represent all of the Caribbean. The music video was filmed at La Marina in New York City and was shot by director Grizz Lee.
Nicki And Mavado answered the public’s demand for an anthem like Mya and Beenie’s Girl Dem Suga. A good island collaboration was well needed and the two debuted the smash while performing for Hot 97s On Da Reggae Tip in NY. The two represented for their respective islands while still appealing to the American Hip-Hop crowd.
